Ndima Motorized Borehole Project is the 7th Water system constructed by Africa Water Solutions in Uganda and is located in Osigumvore Parish, Kucwiny Sub County – Nebbi District. The project commenced in September 2024. Ndima like any other parts of Kucwiny – Nebbi District faces challenges such as deforestation due to agricultural expansion and wood harvesting, which has increased variability in rainfall and rise in temperature, posing risks to agriculture and natural resources.
The water scarcity, particularly during dry seasons is a huge challenge, making efficient water management and conservation critical. Ndima water system is a significant milestone in our commitment to providing reliable and sustainable water resources for our community. This advanced water system, designed to enhance efficiency and ensure safe water delivery, incorporates cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices to meet our growing needs.
Our works included among others development of modern pump station improved distribution networks, and innovative water conservation methods. With this system, we aim to improve water quality, reduce time to and from water sources, and reduce wastage to ensure that every resident has access to clean and safe drinking water.
The project covers a total distance of 12.6km across all villages. The project benefits 13 villages with over 3850 people (770 Households through 15 supply points (12 Public Stand Posts) and Three Yard Connections.
